Kindle reading, standing in the isle and Brunel

Guy reading a kindle.  The fields near Keynsham gliding away past the window.

I read somewhere that it was Brunel's aim to create the feeling of floating over the landscape when he engineered the Great Western Line that I commute to work on.  Watching Keynsham float by with that in mind made me think of this episode of design podcast 99% invisible http://99percentinvisible.org/episode/episode-68-built-for-speed/ .
