Here's a few sketches from my second unsuccessful pitch for upcoming kids comic the Phoenix (the first one can be found here). This time it's for a short, single episode comic. It's all set on the body of a man who washes so rarely that weird and wonderful creatures have evolved all over his filthy bod.
Dr Ulinov shrinks himself down to investigate (hence he's drawn riding a dust mite above). I won't give too much away because I may well use the story for something else...
The Phoenix looks like it's going to be really great (even without the above, well nothing's perfect). If you are very quick you may still be able to get a subscription in time for issue one on Saturday. Do it! Here's the link
